About
Jake Rodrock
Vocals
Jake hails from El Cajon, California and grew up in a musical family with influences ranging from the classic sounds of Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd to much heavier acts of the 90s like Megadeth, Morbid Angel and Obituary. Influenced by his father (Baine) and uncle’s Death Metal Band KADATH, Jake received his first guitar at 14 and formed Nervous System with lifetime best friend and drummer Adam Hinrikson and later joined Opaque Existence as the lead vocalist. Jake has performed alongside many great metal acts such as God Dethroned, Sicmonic, Abigail Williams, and He who Binds himself. After Opaque Existence disbanded, Jake wrote solo music and collaborated with his uncle Jim Rodrock and Cousin Troy Rightsell. Jake joined Dave in assembling a new lineup for Seven Wounds in the summer of 2017. Now belting out brutal vocals as the band’s front man, Jake draws on his diverse influences to assemble brilliant vocalizations and preach the one true metal faith.
"Evil" Dave Tetmeyer
Guitars
"Evil" Dave earned his moniker in Dallas, Texas back in 1990. He’s been the driving creative force for the bands Corrosive, 454, and 94 Blades. Dave is the progenitor of the crunchy unicorn and rainbows heavy metal tone. Dave has seven albums under his belt as the primary writer (not including the debut Breeding Malice release Seven Wounds) and his bands have opened for a laundry list of national acts such as Korn, Testament, Fear Factory, Sevendust, Exodus, and Pappa Roach. After the disbandment of 454 and challenges with the 94 Blades lineup, Dave finally joined forces with Jake, Doc, and Jim and has returned to spew forth old school metal and live up to the “Evil” name he earned so long ago.
Doc
Bass Guitar
“DOC” has made his way through the Texas underground music scenes playing in metal bands in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, the blues dives of Austin, and during the glory years of funk in Denton. His previous bands opened for acts such as Anthrax and Metal Church. Doc has been transported from the hill country of his native republic of Texas, and has reemerged from years of obscurity while dusting off the crust of Aquanet from bad late 80s hair bands. Doc lays down a brutal assault on your low frequency senses with his unique funk influenced percussive repertoire. Drawn back to the heavy metal roots of his youth when meeting like-minded individuals “Evil” Dave and Jake, he joined the band as the bassist in late 2018. When asked about the synergism between the current lineup, Doc responded “I answered the Craig’s List ad and I was the only one that showed up regularly and on time, so I got the job...”
Jim Rodrock
Drums
James (Jim) Rodrock assisted in recording the initial rhythm tracks for the band’s debut album. Jim and Jake have collaborated frequently, and it was no great surprise when Jim was asked to permanently join the band after killing it on the demo performances. A true skinbucket specialist, Jim has played in a variety of bands including Casket Crew and Cold Moon. Now forming the core of the rhythm section with Doc, Jim cranks out emphatic rhythms while displaying the trifecta of speed, power, and precision.
